The movie feels like a not so good copy of Taken. i still enjoyed it because of the action and driving scenes, but the movie was average.
A good watch and work film
Simon West's Taken-adjacent Cage vehicle — a former thief searching for a kidnapped daughter through New Orleans' Mardi Gras chaos. Cage plays desperate adequately; Josh Lucas' villain is cartoonishly overwritten. The 95-minute runtime moves efficiently but substitutes pace for tension. Forgettable genre mechanics without the formal discipline or character investment this profile requires. Cage at his most contractually obligated.
Very very average cop/bad guy film. Nothing extraordinary or riveting about this one. I'm a big fan of Nicolas Cage but he just seemed to phone it in here; none of his usual high-octane antics or theatrics. He just seemed low-key and almost bored with the part...maybe because this was so much like _Gone in 60 Seconds_ which was far far better. This one was just ... the entire thing was very bland, lacking in story, emotion, depth, or anything. I watched it but I doubt I would ever watch it again. Even the conclusion was boring. Cage's best days may be behind him; he's had some amazing films but this wasn't one of them. I would say don't waste your time on this one. It wasn't "bad" but there was just absolutely NOTHING exciting or memorable about this.
truly in general i like Nicolas Cage much and yes the film has good action scenes as usual in this movies but i don't know why it didn't give me a couch trip... i missed an exciting feeling while watching ^_^
