This was a very enjoyable, brief, and straightforward documentary with lots of great archival and behind the scenes footage. I honestly wish this was an hour longer or maybe even a docuseries because there is so much more ground the documentary could have covered. Things like Fraggle Rock and how much work Jim put into The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth and their failures upon release are touched on very briefly. The other Muppet movies after the first one and The Storyteller don’t even really get mentioned at all. There is a great six part docuseries on the Defunctland YouTube channel that covers more than Idea Man for anyone who feels like Idea Man left them wanting more but this is still a really well done and good documentary. 

A great documentary by Ron Howard . Jim Henson was truly one of a kind.

Sweet, entertaining, but not really revelatory or anything a deep fan wouldn’t already know about

Wasn't a big fan of the Muppets or Sesame St. so it didn't really resonated with me. The documentary to me was informative but I thought it was kinda slow.
