Had a good final message about not letting the past ruin your future, but as a Disney movie it didn't age very well. I believe it went quite forgotten. The comedy was pretty bad, the characters were obnoxious most of the time and the animation felt kind of rushed and incomplete, especially if compared to movies like Ratatouille and Shrek the Third that came out the same year.

This movie has some fantastic visuals and imaginative inventions. The "bowler hat guy" is inept, but the way that he is drawn is truly creepy. There were a few laughs and I appreciated some of the manic moments and quirky characters. The uninspired time travel story itself was secondary to the flashy animation.

Just for a minute, close your eyes, and imagine what it felt like watching this as a kid. Now imagine other kids around the world who got to watch this. Kids with different situations to what you went through. Some are happy, some are going through a hard stage in their life, some are finding meaning to follow. Life is hard. And somehow Disney managed to make a movie about what it means to move forward through storms and thunder in these darkest hours. We were once the children of the future, now we are adults. If you ask an adult now for their opinion, you'd receive a response beyond the purpose of this movie. But if you ask how your innerchild felt, I'd say this is a good movie for those who are worried about what the future holds for them. Trying to find strength, trying to create a purpose. Children are simple creatures, as long as the magic of Disney brings them joy, that's all that matters. Meet The Robinsons is one of those rare moments where it's not what we wanted but what we needed. Plus, one of the greatest songs ever from this movie; Little Wonders by Rob Thomas. If you're a parent, you'll also love this. Movie night with this movie, hold your child tight, cherish every moment.
