Will Ferrell has done a lot of cringy, unfunny movies, but every once in a blue moon, he really knocks it out of the park. This is one of those. The story is weird and fascinating and a bit meta, and the cast is quite good. Also, "I brought you flours." is one of my favorite lines and moments in a movie.

Funny, charming and a genuinely distinctive end, this plot was as delicious as a Bavarian sugar cookie!

NOTE FOR MYSELF SO I REMEMBER SOMEDAY, ONLY REPRESENTS MY OPINION/THOUGHTS FOR MYSELF NOT A “REAL REVIEW“, SO YOU PROBABLY WONT AGREE WITH IT (also its not my 1st language) [spoiler] 6.5 I remembered it to be better, its a nice movie who has some funny moments but there a few things that doesn't make sense like choices the characters make etc and ofc Harold being in the real world raises new questions like what about the other fictional characters like Ana, are they in the real world too? (but I know its not about the details) in conclusion Id say its a nice story idea but it could've been better [/spoiler]

I used to hate Ferrell because he was always so over the top. This is almost the opposite and I adore this flick. If you are not a Ferrell fan, give it a chance. This is not his typical fare and the stellar cast does great work up and down the call sheet.
