I'm pretty sure that through movies like this one, money is laundered. 2/10
I don’t understand the hate for this movie. I guess I’m the outlier here because I found it both cute and enjoyable. I mean it was just a dumb little feel good movie… and it achieved the intended results for me.
I stumbled across this on Prime Video and it sounded pretty decent. I’m not really a big dog person but I normally enjoy dog movies. The first thing I don’t understand is why this was as long as it was. I didn’t buy into the chemistry between Charlie Cox or Zoey Deschanel at all. They honestly had no chemistry at all. I was pretty bored sitting through this entire thing. I think I laughed once, maybe? The Christmas feel of it was severely lacking. I really don’t have anything good to say about this. I’m sure plenty of people will find this to be cute and adorable but it’s just not for me. I hope other people enjoy this one a lot more than I did.
Dog is the star in this one. The rest of the movie is just meh.
Sadly, the film doesn't live up to its charming premise, spending most of its runtime chasing its own tail with pointless jokes and dog-related puns that are only mildly amusing, along with an undercooked love story that doesn't know how to steal our hearts.
