[CPH:DOX '24] On March 8, Irish participants in a referendum that sought to change two articles of the Constitution on the family rejected these modifications. One of those articles, in which household duties prevail over women's work possibilities, is the one with which this film begins. The documentary uses images from the archive of the Irish public channel and current interviews with some of the contestants who participated in that program to show the gap that existed between the representation of women and the reality they lived. The film traces a journey through Ireland from the sixties to 1992, a few years before the contest disappeared, when the High Court headed by Judge Declan Costello, prohibited a fourteen-year-old girl from traveling to England to have an abortion. in the so-called "case What it does particularly well is to start from an anecdote that could simply be curious, to offer an incisive portrait of the evolution of an Irish society that, however, refuses to let go of the past.
