What a fine escapist holiday escape this show can be if only they had this kind of budget on a weekly basis. It's still not a masterpiece but the landscape is bucolic, summer is beautiful, people and cases are sufficiently strange and the interstate scenario adds some flavor. It's sort of an interborder *The Bridge* scenario. Just in the the Alps ... and just like Swedes and Danes, Bavarians and Austrians are very similar and yet so different.
