Interesting film. The premise was intriguing and I wish more was done with it. Feels very down to earth and doesn't try any fancy cinematography. The characters are hard to read and aren't as deep as they should be. Worth a watch but not a must watch for me 7/10

*"I'm everybody's daddy!"* Fails in both romance and crime mystery departments. The performances by Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin are great but there isn't enough character depth to make me care about these two getting together. I was intrigued with the whodunnit mystery at first but let's just say there aren't many suspects to begin with (it did mildly surprise me towards the end though). Characters in this movie have such an exaggerated cynical view of policemen and I'm not sure why. I like the setting and the city of New York and the dialogue is comedic and philosophical at the same time. Al Pacino doing the dating interviews was the highlight for me, it was pretty funny. The score was excessive and annoying in parts or maybe I just dislike the sound of classic erotic saxophone-heavy scores.
