[IFFR '26] With a certain tendency towards family drama featuring common characteristics and latent conflicts, the film relies on an X-ray of the expatriates' inner lives and the family ties that connect the past and the present. Returning to some themes addressed by the director in previous short and feature films, he finds in the whispers of that song idea that evokes the title and the reference to the poet Langston Hughes, some new paths, open to exploring the effects of generational trauma at the margins of the diaspora.
