An old movie, but boy what an effect did it have on people. This is what you would call a good thriller !!!

so i get most of the complaints with this and am even willing to agree with the downtime, content of the movie not matching the posters/visuals, the elevator mayhem being underutilized, and so forth. at the same time however, i LOVED the settings and aesthetics that came with them, Huub Stapel might have been hotter than he was in Amsterdamned somehow (nvm that his character is a fucking loser), and i do like this as like such a deep dive into a career path (not in accuracy or anything so much just as focus) for something so peculiar/niche vs something like a police procedural or equally overdone. ultimately i come away feeling mostly fine about this which is a bit of a bummer given all of the winning elements involved. this could've been something much more or even with bigger missed swings taken i would've probably respected the effort. a bit of a frustrating experience. hoping for more with the remake of this that Dick Maas also did.
