It was a strange movie. It wasn't that much. You can watch it in the absence of a movie. I watched it fast forward.
I honestly don't know how they okayed this script. This entire movie is not badly filmed/acted or anything, but I truly feel like this could be a 15 minute story and it would only be mildly entertaining. Let alone a movie with this kind of runtime.
I love off-grid/survivalist movies for their general atmosphere. So, I wasn't as disappointed by this movie as some of the other commenters here.I thought Katie Douglas carried the movie. She's the reason I was wiling to give this movie a chance. Your mileage may wary.
Lazareth starts strong, following a woman as she protects her nieces in a post-apocalyptic world, but it quickly loses steam. Predictable twists, plot holes, and slow pacing take over. Ashley Judd's performance is terrible. The climax is a mess, like they threw something together just to wrap it up. A disappointing, messy watch that fails to deliver.
