Synopsis
Vincent, la quarantaine triomphante, va être père pour la première fois. Invité à dîner chez Élisabeth et Pierre, sa sœur et son beau-frère, il y retrouve Claude, un ami d’enfance. En attendant l’arrivée d’Anna, sa jeune épouse éternellement en retard, on le presse de questions sur sa future paternité dans la bonne humeur générale… Mais quand on demande à Vincent s’il a déjà choisi un prénom pour l’enfant à naître, sa réponse plonge la famille dans le chaos.

A situation comedy that is well played, with many twists and some intelligent humour. I have seen it in French (original) and I do believe that a translation will ever be able to reproduce the fine French humour in the dialogues. The subtle humour and the story of of a few people sitting around a table that starts with one guy stating that he wants to call his son Adolph degenerates from there. Frankly, if you do not speak French, it is a shame to miss this one, but in that case, “Carnage” is a movie in English that comes close and is excellent too. If you speak French, do not miss this movie.

Really funny and fast paced. It's adapted from the stage play and that shows but I really liked that. Laughed a lot and some fun twists.
