Even better than the first!
A continuation that leans even harder into the imaginative weirdness of the first, with “foodimals” that are honestly iconic in design. While it’s even more forgettable plot-wise than the original, it doubles down on creativity and cuteness, which gives it its own charm. The story isn’t why you watch it, it’s about the visual flair, the energy, and the zany vibe. It doesn’t hit as hard emotionally and lacks the freshness of the first, but it’s still a solid and lovable sequel that meant a lot to me growing up.
Did they deadass make a Jurassic Park parody about FOOD? I have no words. I'm also ashamed to say that I laughed at, "There's a leak in my boat." I hate myself.
Like with first, also liked second Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs it as a kid however I sort of became more mixed on it lately. I used to think both of them are equal but now believe that 2nd movie isn’t better than first but I still find it enjoyable. Chester V isn’t one of my favorite characters here but Will Forte did nice job on the voice role. Mark Mothersbaugh score is good but shame that it isn’t officially released but some of songs I guess are nice. The animation here and world of Swallow Falls food is amazing like the first though feels like some of legacy character designs feel a bit off.
