Like finding an old picture of yourself when your hair looked great and your smile was dangerous. Reminiscent of the original Hitcher (1986), this 1970s serial killer flick made in 2009 has a solid script (even if the twist was a bit telegraphed) and moments of authentic suspense. Director Jennifer Lynch succeeds in a different genre than her father, after a 17-year hiatus caused by the disastrous reception of Boxing Helena (on my watchlist).

An underrated and little-known film by Lynch's daughter. Bloody massacres on a highway in the outback force the FBI to send agents to interrogate surviving witnesses, and for some reason the local cops are busy with the investigation. Everyone will be unreliable narrators, many will die, a great ending and a plot twist say hello to Oliver Stone
