I wouldn't call this a spy thriller by any means. It starts as such and both, the beginning and the end of the movie, aren't awful. But it turns into a badly written romance during the middle and drags this part out far too long. Donald Sutherland plays great as the spy but poorly as the stranger that seduces the woman. Even if one consideres the spy does this only as a smoke screen for his ultimate escape. And then there are a lot of historical errors like a helicopter that wasn't in existance and many more small things. Those details are important to sell a story and should be taken more seriously.
