[Raindance FF '23] A beautiful film about repressed desires in a hostile environment, the camera remains static offering a perhaps too neutral view, but the director also adopts brave decisions such as hiding the faces of the characters who interact with the protagonists, which offers a reflection contrary to the need to hide sexuality from Nigerian society. The introduction of a female character also provides some very intelligent social commentary, preventing the film from being limited only to a forbidden romantic relationship.
