I just found a new film to watch every Christmas!! This is just brilliant and will be highly enjoyable for rewatch! The comedy, action, fantasy and horror blend perfectly on this film about a priest trying to stop the birth of Antichrist on the Christmas Day by learning how to be a sinner and selling his soul to the Devil. There are 3 main characters, the priest, the death metal fan, and the psychic. They were super likeable, hilarious, and quirky it's so hard not to pay attention despite a bit too long in runtime. I just love their personality and wild energy. They sure one of the best characters I've seen in films. This film filled with many surprises, clever direction, the plot was really unique and creative, and the humor landed very well. So much madness in one film. It's perfect, I LOVE IT!
A unique film for sure but still struggles to find its footing to be something more than mediocre.
A perfect blend of horror, action and comedy, all these elements flowing in a natural way. The movie has an intense pace, and is totally driven by the excellent characters, all of whom are well-developed, extremely charismatic and create a bizarre, frenetic, curious and captivating story, using satire in a very perceptive way to make a blunt social critique.
A great movie. Where the surreal makes esotericism and the demonic a really interesting plot. Some great characters where we accompany them during the footage to make the film fun and bearable. Great direction, some amazing scenes throughout Madrid. I liked it a lot and was very surprised. 8/10
