I'll have to admit this movie confused me quite a lot and I'm not sure what I got from it. On one hand, I felt that the vision of the teacher from the city who comes to "civilize" the "uneducated" villagers was worth being questioned- and it wasn't. On the other hand, this depiction somehow didn't feel cliche.. And most of it was deeply captivating and the shots of the snowy mountains were breathtaking.
