Ayez peur, car Il vient.

There are certainly far worse films than “Seven” to serve as the basis for a shameless copy. “Resurrection” from 1999 is exactly that, and to be honest, nobody really makes an effort to disguise it. The only problem is that the movie looks disastrous due to its edgy style and, above all, has aged really badly. The absurdly lackluster acting of leading man Christopher Lambert does the rest. The movie does have a few decent moments during the hunt for the serial killer, but that's ultimately not enough to save it.
A shameless knockoff of Se7en, that proves to be effective in its own right. What it lacks in originally it makes up for with grim gore and a Grindhouse charm. It's at least one I'll definitely give another spin.
