Fantastic, indeed. 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' is a terrific stop motion animated film, which is unmistakably a piece of Wes Anderson's work. I enjoyed the whole film undoubtedly, though the first half is much stronger than the second. The opening piece of stop motion didn't actually fill me with confidence, but thankfully that immediately disappeared as the whole thing looks truly excellent. George Clooney is great in this, definitely the most I've liked a performance (from what I've currently seen, of course) of his away from the 'Ocean's flicks. Every member of the cast is top notch to be fair, from Bill Murray to Michael Gambon to Eric Anderson. Willem Dafoe is fun too.
I eat my breakfast the same way as Mr Fox.
A really unique movie. Visually it's great, the story is fun, the voice acting is all top notch. A quick run time makes this an easy watch.
Just as the food, superb.
“You Are, Without A Doubt, The Five And A Half Most Wonderful Wild Animals I’ve Ever Met In My Life.” Last time I watched Fantastic Mr. Fox I was in primary school so it’s been a very long time, I remember it being a great film so I don’t why it’s taken me this long to rewatch it. I’ve said a few times in my past reviews how much I love stop motion pictures there’s just something so unique about them and the style of animation is really impressive to me, Wes Anderson does a great job with these types of films with Isle of Dogs another similar type of film that he does amazing things with. The story is a quite simple one but done in such a fun way that you fall in love with it, mainly because of the “fantastic” characters with of course Mr. Fox who strangely reminds of Walter white from breaking bad alright he might be a much better person but he’s a got one little habit that he can’t let go of and gets him into trouble constantly. Mrs. Fox, weasel and the badger was also really likeable characters the two and I personally relate to though are Ash and Kristofferson both are strange and the odd ones out but when they come together as a team there a force to be reckoned with I loved their relationship. Then we come to the villains firstly I’ll start with the Rat it’s crazy to me that’s William Defoe’s voice I didn’t have a clue he does a perfect Western accent, anyway the rat was a fun side threat for our group to get past I found it hilarious how tall he was, his ending was at least wholesome. Boggis, Bunce, and Bean a trio of greedy and wealthy farmers who are determined to get revenge on Mr.Fox for his constant stealing from them over the years, they were all absolute monsters but also kinda funny to watch the lengths they go down to try to catch Mr. Fox and his family. I loved that ending in the supermarket another reason I connect with ash the most he’s the only one who chose grape juice. After all these years I’m glad I finally decided to give this a rewatch I can tell you now it’s not going to take me over 10 years to watch it again that’s for certain 10/10.
