Synopsis
Parce que Taylor a rompu avec Zack, ce qui risque de lui faire perdre sa réputation de président de classe, d'étudiant d'honneur et de capitaine de l'équipe de football, il parie avec son meilleur ami et rival, Dean, que n'importe quelle fille, à condition d'être bien maquillée, peut remporter le concours de reine du bal de fin d'année. C'est alors que Laney Boggs croise leur route et tombe dans les filets des deux compères. Cette élève de dernière année, dont l'ambition est de décrocher une bourse pour entrer dans une école d'art, n'a pas de temps à consacrer à la toilette.

She’s All That is a rather cute romantic comedy with a John Hughes-ish quality to it. After getting dumped by his girlfriend a high school jock makes a bet that he can turn a socially awkward art geek into the prom queen. Featuring Freddie Prinze Jr., Rachael Leigh Cook, Paul Walker, Matthew Lillard, and Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, the cast is quite impressive (even if some of their performances aren’t). Cook is especially charming and has tremendous screen presence. And the writing does a good job at keeping the comedy light and kind of clever. However, the plot’s pretty predictable and some of the humor is lowbrow. It has its flaws, but overall She’s All That is a fun and entertaining teen comedy.
