For people who are not healthcare graduates, it is sometimes difficult to understand what is being said. Still, it remains interesting enough to keep one's attention, although it could have been a bit shorter. My respect for women remains unending for all they have to go through.
[VdR '23] In style, it is the film that is closest to Frederick Wiseman, but while the North American director is interested in the representation of institutions, as in "Hospital" (1970), Claire Simon's attention is more humanist . The intention is to film female bodies, discarding sexualization, but also the stigmatization of shame, showing the transformations that take place and structuring it based on the stages of life, from youth and birth to old age and death. And when she becomes one of the patients, she cleverly avoids the spotlight.
