Love this movie... no matter how many times I've seen it, its still enjoying to watch

Good action and humor for an impossible argument.

Great movie if you are in the mood for some evil guys do evil things in Russia and Europe. Just sit back and enjoy all the accents Val Kilmer pulls off here. Watched this in honor of his passing and am pleasantly surprised by how entertained I was.

They bring some joy to it, but the movie itself is just bad. I feel like Val got offered this while his buddy from Top Gun, Tom Cruise, got offered Mission Impossible and one was done way better.

Fake mustaches, Chibs from Sons of Anarchy, cocaine hidden in your watch, a Russian bad guy with a cane, bad accents, expensive wine, hypothermia, Elisabeth Shue, many wigs, an early kiss, love changing the heart of a career thief and not that much action. Val Kilmer plays Simon Templar, a thief with many aliases based on saints and who wants to get out of the life when he hits 50 million. His final job will be stealing the formula of cold fusion energy but he needs to steal it from a pretty woman named Emma played by Elisabeth Shue. The bad guy he needs to steal it for is a Russian named Tretiak played by Rade Serbedzija. He has an evil son who ends up with a scar. It all sounds so fun but at times the movie feels kind of dragged out and Val Kilmer isn't the actor to play someone who disguises himself and who uses different aliases from different countries, so he has to speak with different accents. And the disguises aren't that great because you can see Kilmer's distinctive facial features through each and every one of them. But hey, it still has that 90s charm and it is still fun. Maybe I wanted more because I was on such a great 90s gem role but you can't win them all. It still wasn't a bad choice but I won't return to it again. If you haven't seen it yet, don't expect much but it is still kind of worth checking out for the many accents Val Kilmer tries to do.
