Disclosure Day is a gripping, intellectually stimulating triumph that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The air-tight story is a masterclass in pacing, focusing on the intense psychological suspense of a looming global announcement rather than relying on cheap sci-fi tropes. It avoids predictable cliches and delivers smart, earned twists that build toward an incredibly satisfying and emotional finale. What truly elevates this incredible script, however, is the powerhouse acting. The entire cast delivers raw, emotionally resonant performances, led by a mesmerizing lead who perfectly captures the heavy burden of the world on their shoulders. Backed by atmospheric direction and a haunting score, Disclosure Day perfectly balances a flawless script with unforgettable performances. It is easily one of the best films of the year—do not miss it!
Disclosure Day is unique, I'll give it that. There are elements of the story I truly enjoyed, and the craftsmanship is as impressive as expected. However, the alien technology often feels more magical than technological, and the audience is asked to accept increasingly fantastical concepts that push the film beyond what I could buy into. I can't criticize the filmmaking, but I would've greatly preferred something more grounded.
Easily Spielbergs worst movie. I was excited to see it due to the subject matter and Speilbergs passion for it. But this honestly felt like a budget fan movie at times. Writing is all over the place, and I don’t remember any of the music which is unbelievable considering John Williams did the score.
Absolute poop, don’t waste your time
