I'll keep it simple. I do not like musicals (like one of the characters heh) but this show is hilarious. An insane talent pool of actors and they do the whole parody this is not a musical but makes fun it self-aware style and I couldn't look away. It Will be huge I suspect.
So far I’m loving this! Looks like another home run for Apple TV+
What started as an intriguing, mildly amusing concept devolved into an overly preachy drama that was not worth watching.
[tv+] An entertaining and fun musical that uses the clichés of the genre to reinterpret them from a current point of view, even in its most conservative and misogynistic aspect. It's not the smartest script, even silly at times, but it's nice to find at least one musical extravaganza whose songs shine brightly even if they aren't composed by Marc Shaiman or Alan Menken. S2 shifts the focus from the white musicals of the '50s to the social themes of the '60s and '70s, and manages again to keep the somewhat simple humor underpinned by a bunch of excellent musical numbers.
If you like musical series, Galavant was so much better.
