As happened with Foundation, the second season has greatly weighed down the series' plot. It's cumbersome, overly convoluted, indulging too much in beautiful but heavy photography. In short, it seems that Apple applies its excessive aesthetic sense for its devices also to the series TV productions.
One of the downsides to being observant and thoughtful, is that it's difficult to watch a show or movie without noticing all the plot holes, sloppy writing, and predicting all the twists way in advance. Calm down Severance fans. None of that applies to this show :) It's nice to just enjoy a nearly flawless show for once, with competent writing, stellar acting, an intelligent and unique plot, masterful directing, etc. etc. Pick any positive descriptor and an aspect of the show. It'll be a true statement. 10/10 quite possibly my favorite show of all time.
So far we've watched the first 2 episodes... not in a hurry to return and watch the rest... season 1 was quirky and weird - kinda liked it (6/10), but season 2 is just plain weird for sake of being weird. 4/10 so far
Overhyped for no legit reason. Season 1 was refreshing and new, season 2 just continues the nothingness and the vague answers or no answers to all the questions. the finale was laughable and unnecessary, didn’t add anything to the actual story, all questions remain. Common answers like you will kill everyone if you go out and stuff just makes it more irritating and me frustrated.
This was written like they were forced to make more seasons. Unfortunate.
