They got this. Almost.
The trials and tribulations of Jo and Bill, parents of two young kids, as they try to make it day to day as a functioning family. Bill’s very judgmental live-in mother and Jo’s large, Latinx Catholic family will never hesitate to let our couple know they’re seemingly screwing up, but Bill and Jo will always have each other’s backs, united against everyone – other parents, teachers, doctors, specialists, coaches, co-workers and, especially, their kids.

The writing and chemistry just weren't there. The casting works only some of the time. While every character (including the kids) had their moments, they never shone bright enough to built upon.
Shows with laugh tracks attemp to tell you where you are supposed to laugh, and it's funny when I don't even realize they said a joke until after the laughter comes on.
Surely in these digital days it can't be too hard to give the viewer the option to turn off canned laughter (much like multi-laungage MKVs)- now there's a job for some smart techo. Other than that it was OK - can develop. I like Jane Curtin's role. Will Sasso and Christina Vidal not too bad. But kill off the in-laws.
