It's been quite a long time since I was so invested in a show. After I finished it, I immediately re-watched it again. Due to Chinese censorship laws you never see anything physical between Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhang, but the creators and actors did not let this hold them back. Their relationship is still beautifully depicted. There where some parts of the story which I thought weren't very well done, but the characters always stayed strong, and it certainly does not take away from how amazing the show is overall. And something that doesn't tend to get enough recognition in TV shows: the music (all ost) where also so beautiful and well-fitting.

I don't even know how to express my love for this show. I love it so much that now I want to watch the donghua and read the novel and the manhua. Tbh I wanna watch it again hahaha

One of the best drama I ever saw! I am in love with the whole story

I had heard of this show years ago but never thought to watch it, now I regret not watching it when it was at it's media marketing peak 2019-2022 and waiting till 2025. Watch Duolu Comtinent for the start of Wei Ying/Wuxian character. Watch The Long Promise for the start of Dark Cultivator Wei Wuxian/Yiling Patriach with some of Lan Zhan stoicism there. Mix them together to get the perfected XZ acting and character portrayal of Wei Ying, Wei Wuxian, Demon Cultivator, Yiling Patriarch in The Untamed. A show that will defo get you to join the YIBO/Zhan/YiZhan fanclub and addicted to watching Chinese/Korean and bromance/gay dramas. Loved everything about this show, but I was disappointed by the limited amount/shortness of action scenes and subtle happy ending but would 100% rewatch. The gay is in the subtext, glances, funny hints made in the story (if you know chinese marriage culture) not overt so can be enjoyed as a bromance if you are not willing to watch homosexual stuff.
