Seven episodes in and I'm not sure if this season is worth finishing.

Another solid season. Not as good as the first two, but still worth the watch, in my opinion. Jon Hamm is an amazing addition to the cast and steals every scene he's in as the manipulative billionaire Paul Marks. Billy Crudup is still a high point, especially in the later episodes when everything goes to shit. Bradley's personal drama and stupid actions get a bit annoying at times. I would've liked to see less of the Bradley/Laura-storyline and more Cory vs. Paul. But hey, this is what we got.

If you're about to binge watch S03, definitely start with episode 5. It's basically a "what happened these last few years within the shows' universe", but they decided to shove it in the middle of the season, for no obvious reason. Check the comments from that episode, and you'll see everyone mostly agrees.

Season 3 was a return to Season 1 form for The Morning Show. Its flaws are as visible as ever, but the tension culminating in the finale was fantastic. Paul was cartoonish at times and plenty of moments throughout still feel like soap opera drama rather than real world conversations. Billy Crudup absolutely carried the season with a remarkable performance. The longer the show goes on, the more it feels like a soap opera discount Succession. It'll never reach the depth and especially never touch the script of Succession, but the themes of power and tension of political maneuvering is present.

Oh my. Why did I commit to watch this series. It's getting plain dumber and dumber every season, while trying to be smart. It kind of relies in the fact that the themes it portraits are important and present nowadays but that's all.
