To clarify about the pace, it's not slow. Unless you're not paying attention to what's happening in an episode or care so little about science any explanation for something doesn't register in your brain. Things tend to be happening a hundred times faster than they should be for what the protagonist is actually doing. If science isn't your thing this show may leave you confused.

It's slow paced but I liked it.

I think Dr. Stone is a fantastic show. It brilliantly makes you wonder what you would do if you woke up in a stone world where all of humanity has been petrified for thousands of years. Unfortunately, most of us are not like Senku Ishigami, a walking encyclopedia of science with endless optimism and the ability to recall exact recipes for rebuilding civilization from scratch. The series is a perfect blend of humor, real education, and a compelling story. It respects science by walking you through actual chemistry, engineering, and problem solving steps instead of hand waving things away. The battles are clever clashes of science versus brute strength or science versus science, creating tension through ingenuity rather than typical fight scenes. Senkus dramatic declarations and the classic Dr. Stone sound effects add a ton of fun energy too. It is not a traditional action shonen, so if you are looking for nonstop fights and power ups, this might not be for you. But if you enjoy chill, idea driven anime that actually teaches you things while keeping you entertained, Dr. Stone is 10 billion percent worth watching.
