Superb series. Series two even better than the first.

This series laudably focuses on organized crime in Canada, and in particular, breaks with shows entirely focused on Sicilian based mafia. There's so much potential for interesting and action packed shows about the history of organized crime wars in Montreal. In particular, the war between the Hells Angels and Rock Machine. Instead this show attempts to tell an embellished history of the Rizzuto crime family in Series One and something entirely different in Series Two. Neither series is particularly good, but the first one at least makes some sense, the second series is a different show entirely. The quality of the show also noticeably dips in the Second Series. Ultimately, if you stick through to the end of the show you'll probably be hoping that someone comes along and puts an end to your misery.

Before he died in Montreal in 2013, Vito Rizzuto (Anthony LaPaglia) was the boss of the Sicilian Mafia in Canada. He laboriously built an empire that he alone controlled. He was supported by his right hand Declan Gardiner (Kim Coates), who was loyal to him in every situation. On the other hand, there was conflict with family patriarch Nico Rizzuto Sr. (Paul Sorvino), who had different ideas about his family's business. "Bad Blood" is an average gangster series in which it is clearly defined who is good and who is bad. You can watch the whole thing, but you don't have to. I personally enjoyed the series. What keeps you going is probably Kim Coats acting.

A limp gangster series that borrows from just about every other Mafia movie / series of recent years, mixing all the ingredients up into a pretty dismal, slow moving and generally uninteresting slog. The second rate script and third rate actors don't help, tired disinterested delivery, over-acting, under-acting and just plain no acting is all here along with some of the worst accents I've ever heard. Maybe Teressa and her cutsey (but disturbingly close / incestuous) brother talk like that in real life but I honestly expected them to break into a chorus of "Just one Cornetto, give it to me......" at numerous points. Indeed, other than Paul Sorvino, who plays his normal Mafia patriarch role (which he actually always does quite well IMO), I've never heard of any of the others, maybe I've just missed what they HAVE been in, or maybe they are just rubbish actors, I suspect the latter. The wannabe Goodfellas narration really grates too and doesn't cut it at all. Season 1 was bearable, just, season 2, I don't know what they bothered, especially with such a limp ending. Most Wooden Actor of the Year award goes to........Kim Coates.

I turned this show off when they started to compare fentanyl to cocaine and how much stronger fentanyl is over coke…..how it’s possible that no one noticed this big bs ?! No single person during entire filming, production ,post-production time ? Seriously? Especially in North America in the times of opioid crisis ?
