Refugees from a war-torn country start showing up to seek asylum in an American town. Only the country these people are from is America and the war they are fleeing is 250 years in the future. The local sheriff with a past, a federal agent and a mother in search of her missing refugee daughter drive this allegory with a surprising conspiracy at the center.

Cool premise/context, but poor execution, script, acting, screenplay
I wish another season was coming!
The show started out feeling bland and derivative -- very reminiscent of shows like the 4400 and The Returned. I only kept watching it because I'm from the Pacific Northwest, where it takes place. But something happened around Episodes 4 & 5 that revealed a new layer and the show suddenly became much more intriguing. Hoping they can keep up the mystery and suspense, but I can see it getting convoluted fairly quickly. That may not come until a Season 2, though, if it makes it that far.
Had potential but just didn’t make the cut
Another great sci-fi series cancelled after the first season. What a shame. The story is really compelling and it’s paced extremely well. It really annoys me when there is so much rubbish that gets made.
