It's 9th century and the Panonian duke Ljudevit has rebelled against Frankish Empire. He confronts Dalmatian duke Borna loyal to the Franks on the river Kupa. Borna is succeeded by his nephew Vladislav. Croatian duke Mislav creates problems to Venetians with his fleet of intercepting ships.

It is the first peak of Croatian state. Duke Trpimir defeats the mighty Bizantian army. Duke Domagoj holds siege over Italian town of Bari then in the hands of Arabs.
