What we learn of this show is that religions tend to answer humanity's most important philosophical questions by making up absurd fairytale stories with the agenda of molding people according to their ultra-conservative beliefs. So you learn quite something about how individual religions work, it's like an introduction to the field of comparative religion, but there's absolutely no deep insight into the questions asked because of an almost complete lack of philosophy.
I like Morgan Freeman a lot. I absolutely loved _Through the Wormhole_. I'm an atheist, religion just isn't my thing.
