Phenomenal British thriller following a kidnapped girl who escapes after 13 years but poses a lot of questions about her escape and from what kind of capture. There weren’t really any big twists in the plot but the buildup and possible connections that hint at twists is what kept me on the edge of my seat. The lead actress was phenomenal.

I started out enjoying this but it was way too slow and the story became more and more convalouted. Five episodes was one too many. Struggled to stick with it and ended up fast forwarding through the last two episodes.

Absolutely amazing show. It really had me engaged every minute of it. I wish it was longer. I would have liked to have seen more about why he wanted her specifically, and what happened to her while she was there. Only real bad thing I have to say about this show is that some moments near the end felt a bit dumb or cliche.
For example, all the way at the end, she escaped just the last second before the building exploded. And the police just happened to figure out her location right at that same moment. That is just feels like one of those things that was done because they thought it would make for a cool shot, rather than something that is even remotely likely to happen.

Other thing I found kind of strange was that bit earlier on when she was charged for accessory to murder but revealed what really happened. I think it was more the way it went down, than the plot itself, but it just felt like she was lying to me. And I thought that the police would think the same, especially since they have suspected her of lying every step of the way so far. It wasn't until I saw their reactions that I realized "oh that was suppose to be what actually happened?". I thought it was also a bit of a waste to make her completely innocent in the scenario, instead of her doing it at least some what voluntary because of Stockholm syndrome or something like that. It doesn't really make sense with that security footage of how she actively sought him out in that shopping mall either.
