The series follows John Porter, a former British Special Forces soldier, who is drafted back into service by Section 20, a fictional branch of the Secret Intelligence Service.

Was one of the best shows until season 6 and 7
Would've been better if there was an engaging plot of some sort -- one of those shows that if you accidentally hit the DVR fast-forward, there's no real need to backtrack ;-)
Sincerely, I wish they would've ended the show after season 5. If you decide to watch, I'd suggest stopping at the show's **true** finale (which was excellent) at the end of season 5; skip seasons 6-8 because, comparatively, you're just going to be let down. Changing the cast, but trying to convince fans it was the same show was idiotic. As hard as (I assume) they tried, the new cast and stories just didn't click for me. Somehow, the show lost its heart. It felt like it became just a series of action sequences, without any real cohesion. Did they change writers? Showrunners? I don't know, but I forced myself to suffer through all 8 seasons and it wasn't worth it. Definitely worth watching the first 5 seasons, though! 9/10 through season 5, but 4.5/10 for 6-8.
