In 2071, roughly fifty years after an accident with a hyperspace gateway made the Earth almost uninhabitable, humanity has colonized most of the rocky planets and moons of the Solar System. Amid a rising crime rate, the Inter Solar System Police (ISSP) set up a legalized contract system, in which registered bounty hunters, also referred to as "Cowboys", chase criminals and bring them in alive in return for a reward.

The episode list is completely messed up here, how do I report it?
Great Anime for 1998. But too many unnecassary Episodes between. I wished there were a bigger focus on Vicious. In the end in just two Episodes everything was too rushed. The kid with the red hair „Ed“ : totally annoying... Mostly boring but for 1998 a great Anime 6/10
This show was not my cup of tea; I found it to have too many filler episodes while I did find the main story interesting the rest could have done without and have a 13 episodes series instead of 26 episodes.
