This was a very good show. Watching it 40+ years after it aired, I can safely say this show was ahead of its time. ER definitely stole a lot of ideas from St. Elsewhere. The only thing that sucked was, Hulu was missing 20 damn episodes: S1E8, S1E15, S2E3, S2E6, S2E13, S2E17, S3E8, S4E3, S4E7, S4E10, S4E13, S4E19, S5E6, S5E11, S5E16, S6E6, S6E9, S6E12, S6E20, S6E21. It appears it was due to stupid music rights bc a few seconds of popular songs were played. They should have just blocked the sound for a few seconds instead of blocking the entire episode.

Purported to be Hill Street Blues set in a hospital; it's nowt like it. The writing is nowhere near as good, the characters aren't as endearing and I didn't find the humourous bits that funny; Dr Erhlich tries his best but he's no Lt Hunter. PS: I've seen fewer boom mikes on show in a boom mike shop.
