Carolina arrives with her sister Celeste and confesses that she is about to be arrested because Carlos has set up a shell company to sell apartments, which has been a big scam, so she asks him to keep her in the convent. In search of a telephone signal, Carolina arrives at Óscar's ranch and decides to go in to talk to Celeste, but when he finds out that she is a woman, he threatens to throw her out. Father Gabriel arrives at Óscar's house ready to propose that Sister Celeste be responsible for Moisés' education, but he rejects her. After what happened to Gloria, all the women decide to leave Monteverde, but when they board the truck, it suffers a mechanical failure and starts on fire, putting Andrés' life at risk, but Óscar saves him.

Celeste prevents the Monteverde authorities from taking care of her godson Moisés, so Óscar has no choice but to thank her for her noble gesture. Given what happened to Óscar, Gloria decides to leave Monteverde, but Angelina stays to start a new life away from her mother.
