This aura is embodied by the dramatic and threatening news reports on television, a darkness that director Isabella Eklöf uses metaphorically to create a disquieting atmosphere. As the pain of loss becomes more apparent, the narrative grows increasingly suffocating and surreal, almost reminiscent of David Lynch, incorporating, beyond the novel, the childlike perspective of young Bunny.
