Best friends Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman gear up for their fourth Long Way series—this time going from Ewan's home in Scotland to Charley's in England. They'll take the scenic route, of course, through 17 European countries on cranky old bikes.

I love these shows. Ewan is a pretty down to earth guy, a bit "Hollywood" but not over the top so. I feel like this latest one is just as entertaining as the three before it - so if you like any of those then you'll like this. Doing this on vintage bikes is pretty awesome and their trip through Europe is breathtakingly gorgeous. No BS here, just two guys who have and are, quite literally, riding their motorcycles across the world. Considering this has been going on over the course of 20 years and the producers and the cameraman sign up for it every time tells you that everyone gets along very well and they all love doing this and it shows because they've all become a big family. I would start with the first one and watch them all. I rewatched the first three knowing that this would come out right when I wrapped up and it's been fun.
Another awesome series from Ewan and Charley. Two complaints -there are never enough episodes - they've filmed way more than they're showing us.. give us more!!! #2 - they always seem to rush through the end of the series. Right form the first one and including this series it's like they just want to wrap it up and be done. The skipped through Switzerland and Austria and we barely got a blink of France. 10/10
Man. I’d seen an episode or two when Long Way Round first came out but I’ve spent the last month and a half or so watching all four series and this last episode had me shedding tears like I’D been on this journey with them for the past 20 years. I think these series’ could’ve been twice as long, honestly. I agree with others that the ends of pretty much all of them always seem rushed. I want to see all the footage! I want to know more of their thoughts at the end of it all. Even though I know this went on a series longer than Ewan initially intended and that this was a great way to wrap it all up, I find myself hoping there will be another one in a few years. (Long Way Forward? Long Way Onward?) I’ve got such a bite of the travel bug now in a way I haven’t for a long time. Time to plan my next trip!
