Funniest tv show in this format I have seen in years. The writing and jokes are excellent. I can't remember the last show that made me lol this much. Really hope this gets a second season.
Utterly baffled at what anyone is finding funny about this. At best, it has the occasional moment that illicits a small internal chuckle. Otherwise it's just a whole heap of whining, mostly from the main character who is exceedingly unlikeable. In fact the only characters of interest are the head and the female teacher (see? I can't even recall the character name) but they get minor roles. In short, it's basically awful if you get past the appropriated music and slick production.
enjoyed this a lot more than I expected!
This show truly has been a hidden gem for me. I knew nothing about it going in, but I was blown away by how hilarious, heartfelt, and charismatic it was. Witty, with genuinely laugh out loud, funny moments. I adore each character and love their unique quirks. Exceptional music choices throughout too. I only wish the seasons were longer!
Gets surprised laughs from me all the time. I've been a casual fan of Brian Jordan Alvarez in Youtube and this is a good transition to a traditional series for him. You expect it to veer into the sappy (having been accustomed to comedies with a heart) but it never does. Or if it does, the sappiness is tempered by not a cynicism but clear eyed realism. And did I mention it's funny?
