I'm not joking if I'd say I had enough with this series. Really, you'd better watch Fairy Tail or Edens Zero if you wanted **exact same character design** and prefer longer content. My first impression on first 12 min was simply: "Holy f\*ck? What the frick?" Cuz here's the thing I've noticed so far. * The character intro and world setting were the worst, if we leave anime alone and doesn't involve other franchise. The pacing for it is really rushed up, it feels like someone's chopping a fricking daikon fast in one go. * They did try to match 3DCGI monsters into 2d style, but now it looks too game-y. * Comedy factor was too flat like an airport runway. * I think they used monsters as a slave instead lmfao. * The sidekicks and monsters designs were terrible as well. 💀 * ~~From 4 mins alone, I can tell the plot would be "Harvesting the most op monster I could cultivate so I can beat last boss with my nakama with friendship power bs."~~ * *Yes, as you can see, I don't like a show with heavy "friendship power" plot at all. Most of them were as illogical as it can be.* * And finally.... is this anime also a..... thirst trap????? I won't get surprised when I saw a heck ton of doujinshi later on.
How do I explain this nonsense.....this show quickly dropped down to about a 2 or 3 for me, but I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that it was able to climb out of that hole with some decent story elements and cool character moments. The MC is a typical shonen protagonist, turned up to about 12 or 13 with his childish behavior. I spent the first few episodes laughing at the incredulousness of the plots, the character behaviors, and the subpar artwork & animation....but there was this one story thread that I was somewhat interested in that kept this watchable. Thankfully the story about how this world was created, and old man Den's backstory was actually compelling and made the show worth watching, imo. The MC's plot armor is thick, and he doesn't earn the powers that he ends up with through hard work or anything like that, but if you can make it past the halfway point on the show, you might as well stick it out to see how the story threads play out, it is worth it. I'm definitely good on any more of this, but I suppose if I got bored enough, I could suffer through another season.
Imagine all the characters in Fairy Tail in Farmagia with different looks but similar characteristics. It's the more children friendly characters with funnier uniqueness. For fans of Fairy Tail, this would be a humorous entertaining filler series. For those who are not familiar with Fairy Tail, it will childish series with wacky heroes.
