Adam Brody is delightful and he should be cast in more things
As a long time fan of Kristen Bell, I expected to enjoy this show, but I was not expecting it to be this much fun. The comedy was aplenty across the episodes. The romance was sprinkled in just the right places. While both the leads did a great job, the actor playing the brother deserves a special commendation.
Really enjoyed it and it deserves a better rating, each episode is actually ranked higher than the serie itself so... Fun, somewhat light but in a good way, meaning it doesn't go over the top and stays relatable, good acting. I was expecting it to be a bit more irreverent, but it didn't need to. And Kristen Bell, so that's always a plus
Season 2 is a disappointment. I loved season 1 so much, but what happened there?
Really, truly, and genuinely one of the best and most "refreshing" shows a streaming platform has put out, especially in the drama-comedy genre. It's funny without being in-your-face or over-the-top, and what makes it a breath of fresh air is how relatable it is. It gives it a "down to earth" sort of vibe that made watching the show all the more enjoyable. Also, for the 90s kids who grew up with 00s teen dramas? What a treat to see Seth Cohen and Veronica Mars (slash Gossip Girl) get together. Adam Brody and Kristen Bell were a phenomenal pairing in this.
