During the time of German Empire, Luise von Kummerveldt wants to become a famous novelist. She works ambitiously on her first manuscript, but the patriarchal structures make life difficult. Her brother Veit is rather narrow-minded, and a mystery surrounds the disappearance of her sister Ida. It's time to rise up!

[Arte] A series that addresses the emancipation of the protagonist through her rebellion against the position established by German society at the end of the 19th century. Satire that uses a free-spirited style, and addresses the historical context with the introduction of punk songs that reflect the rebellion but also the contemporaneity of a protagonist whose life is based on some prominent German writers of the time. It has something of Sofia Coppola in her staging, but above all, it proposes a suggestive approach to female emancipation in webseries format.
