Luo Yining, unbound by traditional formalities, frequently stood up for her downtrodden "Third Brother" Luo Shenyuan, discovering his hidden talents in the process. After heartbreak, she aimed for independence by starting a business. Luo Shenyuan, wrongfully accused, sought the truth about his mentor's death. Grateful for Yining's support, he helped her when her business faced difficulties, and their mutual understanding grew into love.

> A sub par short version of Minglan that should be satisfactory Another daughter thats neglected by her father but loved & cared by grandmother goes on to take revenge and achieve success.... Only that Yining actually doesn't do all of that herself but needs Shenyuan another neglected child in this home who actually achieved the greatest success. Given that this drama revolves around family politics, one might expect it to lean heavily into darker themes. However, despite its deep and heavy plot, "Rise of Ning" manages to maintain a light and relaxing tone, which I found refreshing. The narrative, centered around family, adversities, and complicated relationships, is both intriguing and engaging. The writer skillfully navigates potential pitfalls in the plot, ensuring that the story remains cohesive and captivating. Although the pacing starts off a bit slow, it serves as an essential part of the overall buildup, ultimately keeping me entertained and invested in the characters' journeys. You might not want to watch this if you are triggered by sibling relationship as it takes until
29 esiposdes
for Luo family scandals to be completed and we move to the politics and romance. Zhang Wanyi with stone cold face sets the story look like a revenge political drama while Ren Min with her perplexed serious face & annoying baby voice does make it a little ordinary but their communication and chemistry is good and smooth. Additionally, the supporting characters were interesting and added depth to the story. This drama features a diverse cast, and whether good or bad, each character contributed to making the show even more engaging. Although Yixiu and Mao storyline felt very boring in the end but nice to see a chubby girl getting a good fortune. The story and plot is coherent most of the time but there are some flaring loop holes
1. Why does Madam Chen Lan want to kill Ming Lan for her dead son ? for a such a crack head she sure was calm & patient for years 2. Why does Yining refuse to listen to Jiaxue ; i know he is a psychopath but still why does she truly believe he want power more than her 3. What happened to health ? how she is able to give birth as doctor said since she is a premature baby herself & expected difficulty with birth and health in 30s
Overall this is a show i recommend to someone who has connected to "The Story of Minglan" and under its withdrawal symptoms.
