Examine the investigation into school assistant Maxine Carr and her fiancé Ian Huntley, who was imprisoned for the killings of school girls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

Decent reconstruction with lots of believable acting although I didn’t think the journalist arc was completely necessary. To be honest none of my gripes are with the actual series but more so with the real events and the end result for Carr. Super infuriating but still a decent watch. Just watch at your own discretion of course ….
[britbox] The ambiguity of the portrait of Maxine is controversial, in her complicity with a murder case and probably somewhat gimmicky in the invention of the relationship between the murderer and his girlfriend. But it's a drama sometimes difficult to watch because of its rawness, and the feeling it conveys that there is a lot of inner background that we are unaware of. There is interesting outside input from the point of view of a local journalist, but it's not developed enough for its critique of media sensationalism to completely erase criticism of the sensationalism of the series.
