I like the TV show for what it is but if your going in having read the book prepare to be a little disappointed. I wouldn't say this show is based on the book, more like inspired by it; as in taking name character names and traits, a few key plot points and then changing everything else to suit a TV audience.
Dunno whats about it being cancelled but it still has a proper ending with the released episodes.
I really enjoyed it. My only gripe is not leaving the 'phone messages' up long enough for me to be able to read without pausing it. But it's not the only show that does it. I'm not a Millennial, so takes me a bit longer, lol. Great show!
I expected a lot because I read the book so I felt a bit let down by the series. The characters aren't captivating and I found the acting a little plastered.
