He was born to play this role, but the spotlight reveals everything.
Simon and Trevor, two actors at opposite ends of their careers, chase life-changing roles.

So, I've always rooted for a follow up with Ben Kingsley's character Trevor Slattery aka The Mandarin. And I'm not disappointed. This is a lovely tale of an unlikely friendship, with great comedic moments, and heartbreaking ones. The antagonist, agent Cleary, played by Arien Moayed Also does a great job as portraying a boot-licking asshole out for blood. Yahya Abdul-Mateen gives a great performance as a down on his luck actor, saddled with superpowers he never wanted, and that could have him banned for life for acting, the only thing he ever cared about. The score was great, the cinematography on point, the whole cast was great. I watched the whole thing in one setting and enjoyed myself greatly. There will be naysayers that will think it was slow paced, but it's in my opinion paced just right/ Let's be clear, this is is more a comedy drama, than a superhero show, son't son't expect action, lots of CGI (there is some, but few and far in between). Just a solid story, well written and well acted. Thumbs up.
For me this is up there with the best Marvel shows, didn’t except to like it this much. Always been a fan of Trevor Slattery, and what a joy to see him again. The story was touching, beautiful and funny at times. The pace, the acting, the story it all fits perfectly. Well done Marvel, well done.
the character of wonder man is not interesting enough, nor pleasant enough to deserve this entire thing being soooo character focused ! they ended up filling it with trash
I had to push myself throug the entire series, finding it exceedingly dull and tedious. At least the final episode was good, but not enough, for me, to balance for the previous 2.5 hours of tedium for a backstory. Watch it or don't, you're unlikely to miss much unless you're particularly enamoured with the Mandarin character. I won't be looking for a continuation if it becomes an option.😕
Wonder Man barely feels like a Marvel series at all, but its grounded, character-focused tone is what makes it unexpectedly enjoyable and genuinely good.
