Joanna’s first view of Paris is from a hot air balloon. She visits the damaged Notre-Dame, meets fashionista Daphne Guinness; buys a vintage Chanel suit and meets Ibrahim, refugee turned inner-city beekeeper. Finishing at the infamous Moulin Rouge.

In episode two, Joanna continues her travels to Rome, a city like no other on earth. She zips into the city on the back of a Vespa to get her first glimpse of the beauty that awaits.

Joanna Lumley visits Berlin including the Festival of Lights, an all-female motorcycle club and a replica of a western town, a famous photographer who documented life in Soviet-controlled East Berlin and finally Holocaust survivor, Frau Friedlander.
